FESTOOL query #6 – Router Bits and OF 2200 Router Table
How do the Festool router bits compare to say CMT or Whiteside? They’re hell expensive, so can that be justified or is it a case of overpriced Original Equipment accessories, that we see so much of with many brands.
Is the OF 2200 router table a good bit of kit, or would I be better off putting the OF 2200 into an Incra Table or Veritas Table?
Thanks & Regards, Brett

Brett, I've got some of their specialty bits and they are first rate. I wouldn't bother with expense of Festool bits for the common profiles, Whitesides are also top notch and are about half to two thirds the price here in the US. Of course the prices of Festool bits are a little cheaper here.

Thanks for your responses Brice. I also read with great interest your response to an abrasive enquiry (from a while ago). In fact it was that reply which helped me to determine what was what.
Regards, Brett
