The idea of a 3000mm track sounds great. I would use it when I need to trim doors.
Two problems though. 1/ Where do I keep it? Ceiling of workshop is about 1950mm at the door and 1850 at the back. Garage is the same. Not really any wall space either for horizontal storage.
2/ How would I transport it? Would not safely travel inside vehicle and probably not ideal to strap to a couple of roof bars.
Think I will stick to my Festool 1400mm tracks, joiners and alignment tool.

The new OF1010 looks nice (is the price tag of $1010 Festool’s idea of a joke?). I almost wish my ancient OF900 would blow up so I have an excuse to buy the 1010. It won’t die though.
Hi Jack, (always seems funny saying that )

You could always give your OF900 to me and tell SWMBO that you lost it at the beach...

    Cheers

I have a better plan. The OF900 will be permanently setup for use with the dovetail jig. Obviously I'll then need an OF1010 for general routing.

My only suggestion is that if you have a sectional garage door more than 3m wide store it there. Some guy is selling 3d printed clips on ebay.

Joiners also work better when you replace those poxy screws with a proper hex drive grub screw (can’t remember what size they are)
