Festool TS55 REQ - Whats in the box?
Hi everyone,
I've just bought the TS55 REQ kit and have a feeling there is something missing from the box. My suspicions started when the saw arrived in the systainer wrapped in plastic and but didn't have a box.
Then I noticed that the saw blade was already installed. Following that I noticed that the track stop wasn't in the systainer nor was it in the box with the track.
Can someone please confirm or deny my suspicion that I was sent a shop demo with the track stop missing and no box, or is this how everyone else received their Festool saw.
Many thanks in advance.

Box Contents
Hi mate,
I bought the TS55 REBQ+ (Aussie model) a year ago and had the same concern as you re. the limit (kickback) stop. I read around a little and discovered that Festool include the limit stop as standard in the US, but it's regarded as an optional extra over here. Mine also came with the blade pre-installed, so that's nothing to worry about.
That little piece of plastic will set you back a cool $35, which is pretty daft considering it's a safety feature for a flagship device. You can always knock something up to serve as a limit stop in any case.

What's in the TS55 Box
Thanks Groovyolly!
I spoke to the Festool Australian distributor and even they didn't know what came standard in the box. They had to open one up.
