You can see the main thread here:

but there are a few points to make that are specific to Festool vacs. These are mainly to do with what connectors will fit into different non-Festool orifi. This is what I learnt:

A 50mm DAG (and the 27/36mm) fits very nicely into a 58mm Forstner hole:

A 36mm Tool Connector fits very nicely into a 40mm Drainage Pipe Female connector:

A 36mm TC can also be glued into a piece of 50mm pipe (the polyurethane glue takes up the slight undersize fitting because it expands):

This can the be inserted or removed easily from a 50mm Female. The end of the 36mm connector needs to be cut off to avoid a dust trap inside.

For fitting a 36mm hose to a sander, Domino, Router etc there are a couple of different ways to do it:

1. on the right for the Domino I have a 27mm hose straight onto the Dom port (no connector, and permanent). On the other end of that short hose is a 27mm TC with the end cut off and then packed up with Gaff tape to make a good seal going on to the 36mm TC. The ETS sander on the left has this same system and is shown with the 36mm hose connected.

2. After doing the first two I realised that to get the same result i didn't have to worry about cutting down the 27mm TC and Gaff taping - just use the internal part of the 27mm TC that screws onto the hose and it is a perfect fit into the 36mm TC. That is shown in the middle on the OF 900 router.
