Hi Mat, the only way to be reasonably sure of a search on the Oz site is to use product codes and 498507 turns up nothing. Actually even that is not foolproof. See if you can find the Linisher module on the site. It just doesn't exist using any method to find it, but it's all over the CMS brochures. However, Ideal Tools have it on their site.
I have to say that I should know, because I spent ALL of last week going through the OZ site. Should have used the Ideal site and finished in two days.
It looks like a good bit of kit that does. At $USD375 I would think it would be $650 roughly here. There isn't much, if anything, that the USA gets that we don't, in fact it's the other way around (see my post "The Yanks just don't get it") so I'll bet me left avocado that we'll have it pretty soon.
Regards, Brett

You're right of course Jim, I did my usual read of their dates as 3rd of January. I really do wish they'd fall into line: fix their dates, go metric, and drive on the correct side of the road.
Regards, Brett
Actually it still seems odd that it's on the Woodcraft site but not Festool. Anyway.

Well, it is and it isn't. It's featured on Festool USA's blog and I would expect to see it March first on the regular site.
The new Festool Workcenter WCR 1000
I've pre-ordered one, when it arrives I'll be sure to post about my first impressions here.

Hi Brice, so how come you get it before us eH? That's not the way it works!

Maybe I'll pick one up when I'm in San Francisco later on in the year!
Unless of course they do manage to release them here beforehand?

Excellent intro video, thanks Brice - looking forward to more after you've given it some time on site and in the workshop.

It's here now....
This link will take you to the pdf.
My previous estimated price $650....real price in Oz $699, but if you spend another $1400 or something on a CT you can get it for ONLY $499, as opposed to $375 in the USA (without buying anything else).
I was working on $OZ price = $US price + 75% and rounded for convenience.
NEW RULE: $OZ price = $USA price x 2 minus just enough so it can't be called double, and then take take off another $1 so that they might forget and think it's in the low six hundreds. Like, yeah man, I always forget that when I'm doing a C/C authorisation, and I forget it even more when I'm writing a Czech. It's 700 bucks, OKAY?

Festool workcentre
Hi Matt
We have the work centre on display at Just Tools, 180 Clarendon st Sth Melb
I cant recall the list price off the top of my head but if you give me a call on 03-96965722 or email me at [email protected], I'll be able to give you all the details.
If you've got a ct22,33,26 or 36 with the hose garage fitted, you'll have no problems using the work centre, and having had a good play with it, it's certainly a very handy accessory.
Please let me know if you need further info
Cheers
Bryan

The hose garage isn't needed to fit the Workcenter, at least not on my N. American versions. Also works with the boom arm.
BTW, it is possible to make the Workcenter work with the CT Midi/Mini vacs. Switch out the smaller Systainer latches on the vac for regular latches. With some shimming under the WCR the regular latches will be able to lock onto its base.
