It all sounds very sinister to me. Sort of like what Monsanto is doing.
Their GM crops are contaminating non GM crops of farmers who don't want the stuff.
So what does Monsanto do?
They test the non-GM crops, and if they find their GM there, then they sue the farmer for not paying for their patent.

Yeah, I have heard about. With behaviour like that I wonder why people don't get all sentimental and mushy when they hear the Monsanto name. As a kid we used to drive through some of the worst three-eyed fish type industrial wastelands in the rust belt and the Monsanto logo was always there.

I thought i would do a search for the makitool and found this
Nice one Riri...
bjr,

Makitool
I had a bit of a laugh..i was doing a search to see what a Makitool actually looked like. And my first hit on Google referred to your post. i couldn't understand a word of it but i gathered by a couple of the references you weren't talking about a site but reference to the K 6000.

It would be interesting if the Chinese got it into their head to produce and sell a few million Domino knock off's, I wonder what would happen. The Chinese have little regard for product protection when they get going. Quality wouldn't be the same of course but near enough is good enough for them unless you want to pay more.

I couldnt care less if the whole world copied Festools inovations and sold them for GMC prices and every man and there dog went to Bunnies on a Sunday and grabbed them by the boot load. At the end of the day you get what you pay for.
As a very late commer to the world of the Black and Lime, im now a total addict wondering what i will get next, and how i am a going to get money to pay for it
What i love best is the pure quality of what you get even though you are paying over the top prices.
Domino, TS75, 105/3 and now the giant killer beast BS105 sit on my shelves and each of those machines quality and class totaly overshadows the pain of paying them off
My dream homemade MFT is next (rails and conections from Anthony ) then Kapex, Trinion, C12 are my next dreams, then the C22 then...................................

Reverse the order, Lignum. You won't know what hit you once you get the vac into the equation. Then the Rotex, then the...
The domino is one machine that I would not skimp on...I have seen the 0.01mm (or better) alignment accuracy in glued panels.
Can anybody who owns a domino check for a patent number if any on the tool and report back? I can't find a patent after a brief search online, so it may not be protected anyway. (Except for the colour scheme)

Greg, check the documentation that came with the Domino. Maybe patent numbers are listed in there.
Have a nice day - Cheers
