    Default Home Demonstration of Sanders

A big thanks to Wayne the Qld rep who came out today to afford me the opportunity to try out the sander lineup.

I tried the battery/240v delta style one, 125 and 90 mm rotex and of course the brushless 150mm 5mm orbit.

I have owned the brushed 150mm 3mm orbit before and lked it

Well I will be purchasing a brushless 150mm/5mm as well as a Dust Extractor in the near future.

Does anyone have any suggestions with this purchase?
    Regards Tony

    Hi Tony,

I would suggest going the 150/3 and eventually complimenting it with the Rotex 150 that has a 5mm stoke. Then you have all bases covered

The Rotex is a bit of an all rounder

Depending on what you do in the way of sanding, don't discount the DTS 400... I bought one on a whim a while back, and for small pieces and detail work, that thing is really sweet.

If you don't do small/corner/detailed work, then obviously may not suit you.

Totally agree. Addition of the DTS400 makes the perfect trio and the setup I use

Out of curiosity, which are your other two please? I'm running the DTS 400, and the ETS EC 150/3 - they're awesome, but sometimes I find I need to get rid of more material than the 150/3 wants to do quickly (it'll do it, but takes too long)...

MM, have a look at the RO150 for more aggressive stock removal, in rotex mode it's brilliant. I use the RO150 and RO90 for removing finishes, grinding marks from sculpting wood with the RAS then my finish sanders for fine finishing.
