    Default Makita Systainers at Bunnings

    Hi All,
My local Bunnings has sets of four makita "systainers" for $129. The set includes one of each size 1, 2, 3 & 4. These systainers mate with the Festool ones and seem to be of similar quality.

Thank you for letting us know as I was wondering if they were compatible.

I have so many T loc systainers though I don't know if I want to buy the old style now.

The Systainer is made by Tanos (Festool just uses them) so they'll all be compatible and of the same quality.

Fair enough. They are a bit clunky compared to the new type.

Mornington Victoria. In the area outside the tool shop where the metal tool chests are.

And you could use some of this stuff to make inserts:

One 1220 x 610 sheet will do the bases of six Festool or Makita systainers.

There was one left at Noarlunga Bunnings when I was there yesterday, I resisted the temptation. I was there to buy some ply and saw blades. I had made my selection and was heading to the checkout when I noticed I left my wallet home, Doh! Actually I got a better trailer park when I got back, right next to the ply racks.

Unable to be found on the Bunnings National Stock Database - I stood looking over his shoulder while he looked. Possibly a Victoria only special.

Any chance you can post the SKU/Fineline number so us out-of-towners can give the local stores a poke?

These special orders do not appear on their normal stock database and are not always offered at all stores. They appear in the aisles and do not have a shelf location. They are usually a single shipment and not a restock item. So in effect you need to ring the tool shops at each Bunnings and ask them if they have one sitting on the floor.

I only hope that it is not there if I go back Saturday because I will have another difficult decision to make.

On and it is not Vic only since I am in SA.

If you look at the Makita version it has some garb moulded into them about being licensed by the original mob. I have a set of the 4 and 2 more of the largest ones I got for $20 ea at my local green shed. Have a look around the tool box section near the service desk and up high in the tool shop, they're usually hiding in there somewhere.
