    Got the MIDI1 wondering what I'm missing in the MIDI 2 - no specs

    Can't seem to find any specs for the MIDI-2 to compare toe the MIDI-1

    Different bags, filters, bluetooth capable, touch controls (not sure that this is better than knobs), and I think (but check this) it will read the rfid chip in the new hoses

    Once a tool is plugged in it is "alive". Older version was safer with the knob needing to be turned to manual or auto.
    Having bluetooth control on the end of the smooth hose is a plus when doing cleaning jobs.

    Miss having the pocket on the back of the body of the older version to keep a spare bag in.

    Actual unit is slightly bigger, and you can have a cord tidy as well.

    Attached are a couple of images of the new and old versions. The new one has only just been unpacked and has yet to be fully set up. The old one (on the right) has had the top changed to accept systainers with T loc.

    Great, just more unnecessary technology to break... I know they all have to keep adding gimmicks to stay relevant, but I'll bet in 10 years time there will be more MIDI2s failing than 1s that are 10 years older

    Be a good idea for the tool companies to adopt the KISS method & not over engineer the complexities in design as the quote by elan relates to.
