Protool or Festool Vac?
I have noticed that protool have a new vacuum out. vcp 480.

It looks like a carbon copy of the festool ct-26.

I cant figure out why the protool vac is $396 more expensive than the festool version?
I am keen to purchase either one.
The protool would probably be more suitable for me, as I could use it for concrete and fibre cement dust.
Any help is appreciated.
Justin.

Justin, the Protool vac is 48 liters with the auto cleaning function, I think that would explain the big price difference.

And a 36mm ID hose by the look of it.

Good Onya Brice and Anthony.
Thanks for pointing out the auto cleaning feature on the Protool Vac Brice.
Can you confirm that the Festool CT 26 does not have this feature?
The larger hose would explain the difference also.
Thanks for mentioning that Anthony.
Cheers, Justin.

There is a version of the CT26/CT36 vacs that have the auto cleaning feature that are available in Europe (and maybe Downunder as well). I'm pretty sure the CT26 I compared the pricing with did not have the auto cleaning feature.

The CTL26/36 doesnt have the auto clean feature but the CTM26/36 does and should come with the new 36mm hose. Well in NZ anyway which should be the same over the ditch as we get our stock from there.
