Seeking help re OF Festo 2000E Router
I am seeking help re pricing of 1800w OF Festo 2000E router.
So I do hope I am not out of order writing here.
I am more than halfway through selling off the work 'shed' contents for a hobbyist woodworker. As he is in his 80s and the time has come for things to go. I am sometimes flying somewhat blind in the process.
Many items I can search online and find similar items and thus judge a reasonable price. However not always and this Festo I do see was/is considered a good piece but not necessarily cheap.
So can anyone help? Would be so appreciated.
Thank you.
(I had some bad experiences earlier with buyers taking advantage once they have arrived. So I am more cautious now.)

You are on the right track. Definitely not a cheep tool. I expect worth more than $400 if in very good condition and put on eBay. Although I've not done any recent research. The OF2000 us discontinued now, replaced by a model with more power and features, the OF2000 is still a great, robust and reliable router. Ideal for someone who already has one and wants a backup or someone wanting some more Festool kit. Price would depend on condition and what is included with it. If for example the fence was missing parts these are expensive parts so this would reduce the price of the router overall. Do you have a pic of it (condition) and what is included? Any other price suggestions?

Many thanks Anthony for your reply. It was a help. Just found item was used only to make 2 small cabinets - dovetails only on the Leigh jig. Have had other suggestions on price - all warmly received.
Chasing info and finding bits taking so much time - so placing item online to see response. Seems I sold fence with a router table and cheaper attached router as I was told they were together. It would be easier for me to do a child's jigsaw than rely on info and my searches on the home front - so much time required.
With regards. A.

I recently bought one through the forum in as-new condition with the fence and 2 collets (1/4" and 1/2") for $800, which I thought was a good price.
Unfortunately, the fence assembly is an expensive piece of kit to buy new ($2-300) and hard to find second hand, so you'll need to allow for that in your price.

Thank you for your reply - much appreciated. That does help me.
Collets and some cutters (new/unused are available) bought separately - Leigh mainly and some Dormer.
(So many bits and pieces to sort and to find what goes with what and to identify pieces to price, I could end up pulling my hair out.)

If the fence was taken by accident and they phoned you, perhaps you have thier number captured?
Worth making a call and explaining the error?
Hopefully they aren't assholes.
