Table plate for 2200 Router

Hi all,

I am looking to get the big beast router from Festool and want to table mount it. I've seen a number of alternatives out there but nothing concrete other than the stupidly expensive CMS module

Does anyone know of any plates that I can mount it to?

I am going to make a top with an Incra jig for it.

Was looking to use a scissor jack for a lift like whatshisface in Germany does

I've toyed with the idea of mounting a festool base plate to a table with a hole in it so I can snap it on and off the table, but I like the rings that are used with different sized bits.....I suppose I could make some but its not the same as a proper insert

If anyone has any other ideas for table mounting or raising it that'd be appreciated

...for what it's worth, the OF2200 would be a waste mounted under the table.
Taking it in and out...bleh...
Get a big Triton and throw it in, then buy an OF 1400 with all the goodies. I love mine.
...and then you have 2 routers (1 dedicated table jobby) for the price of the OF2200.

You can purchase the plate only - cms of 570251 - which measures 578x320mm. I think it costs about $700. The plate then needs to be incorporated in the table as you would with other plates. This is the only plate I know that will handle the OF2200. I have been considering this for some time but the plate is so expensive for what one gets.

Yeah the cost of complete BS. For $700 I'd buy another plate and import a Dewalt 626 from the UK.

I have an opprtunity to get a 'used' 2200 fairly cheap, I'd not consider this in any other instance.

Lets not get into a triton v everything else discussion, this was thrashed out recently in the router section and I agree, no triton for me.

Probably be better to get an engineering shop to make one up for you to the dimensions you require.

This would be about the cheapest option .

When you look at what you get for what you have to pay as far as the mounting plate mentioned the better value lies in having one made to your specifications.
