my new toy
ripping up redgum slabs with a $15 irwin 24 tooth blade slabs were 55mm thick 2m to 2.6 long blade done between 2 and 4 cuts on each slab ripping the heart wood out of middle 18 to 20 slab before blade was blunt

$15 dollar blade not too bad for the effort you got out of it. Imagine the labour cost if it was done ripped by handsaw!

Yep, I'm the same festool blades are great but I do use 'one blade for all' and I find those cheap ones in bunnings pretty good, almost hard to tell the difference with a brand new one, think it's 160 mm marathon or something by Irwin.
Fits straight in my ts 55 I think without shims ? Need too look, I'm sure everyone is onto this, but if not I can post better details if required.
Was costing me a fortune in festool blades when I was using timber/diamond blades and used the wrong one on the stone! Ouch!
