TS75 EBQ Plus Saw
Hi All,
just won a TS75 plunge saw off ebay, only thing was that it's shipping from the US. I already have a step down transformer, so it should work once plugged into the converter. My questions is though, will Festool Aust accept it if I need to claim any faults, warranty etc. Or would I have to send it to Festool USA?
After only waiting 5 days, I've received it, and tested it out, works no problem and love the fact that it is so quiet compared to my old Makita saw. Also I find it alot lighter. (Forgot to mention, it cost me $650 AUD, $450USD + 100US shipping FX rate 0.87)
I've registered it via the Festool Website in Aust, hopefully they will still honour the 3yr warranty Either way I've heard that Festool products don't have many faults, so I'm hoping I will never have a problem with it.

You may well have a problem with the warranty. Festool make it quite clear that their products cannot be sold outside the USA. Dealers such as Woodcraft in the USA have statement on every Festool product page that it cannot be sold outside the US. The fact that it is 110V in a 240V country also gives them the perfect opportunity to reject a claim.

Figgered that might be the case, ahh well, I'm not too fussed, I have a relo in the states anyhow, so I could always send it to him to get it claimed if anything goes wrong.
Thanks mate.

This may not be of any help but I know Festool USA honors the warranty for all Festool tools not just the tools sold in the US. This could just be Festool USA's policy but maybe it's a policy for all Festool branches.

All warranty claims will have to be made thrru the us, most power tool suppliers dont cover warranty from outside Australia as it will effect there warranty budgets. Being 110v you will definately not be able to get away with it . The saving you made should cover minor problems anyway, if you have an issue with the 110v components you will have to get them from overseas or rewind them
