Upcoming Sales??
I don't know that I want to mention this request as being one of the more original members of this forum I know the history of discussion thats been had over the years about Festool discounting any of there prices.
Fact is, it does happen on the odd occassion (IN MY OPINION)
So, is anyone aware of any upcoming sales on Festool products in the next couple of months?
I lost ALL my machinery/tools etc in the NQ floods (Mackay) last year (feb) and am just working my way through replacing them. I have replaced all the major items, but need to stock up on Festool accessories. Being accessories I don't need them JUST yet so can afford to contiune to wait a couple of months.
I am also keeping my eye on HILTI for their next round of discounts which should be coming up soon.
Anyway. Cheers! & lets not start the whole Festool never discounts debate again

Shane, there are some items in Buy Sell & Swap at the moment. Other than that I am not aware of any sales. I assume you are watching Anthony's site (sponsor) as he often has deals running.

Hi Shane ,long time no hear,I've bought a helluva lot of Festool gear mainly off of my local bloke and the cost is always a lot better than often quoted and saving me literally big heaps of $$$$ by dealing and negotiating down the cost with the same bloke ...he knows I shop around for prices before talking to him.
Also often the WW shows are good to deal with the dealers.
Looking online amongst the various dealers can also reflect price variations or by calling them they can give a "best of price".
I dont believe that the prices are fixed, but that they're also negotiable!
Sorry to hear about your bad luck with losing your gear to the floods last year.
CheersJohnno

This may be a welcome bit of good luck Shane, I've just recieved a Carbatec sale catalogue in the mail and amongst other items, all listed on their site, they have the 150mm rotex for $759, 22ltr vac for $899, ETS 150/5 ROS for $469.
Also listed is a plunge circular saw, the domino and a laminate trimer, but because of a print stuff up I can't tell you their prices.
I don't know how these prices compare to what you can get from your local bloke, or if these are items you need, but it's a start.
Sale goes till 31st March.
Ben.

Just looked closer at their site and everything but the Festool is listed under "specials" up the top. Even when looking through the festool section the sale prices arn't listed. You'll have to give 'em a ring.

Thanks for the input guys.
I am actually looking more for accessories, not to many seem to stock much in the way of accessories though so I doubt they will be keen to discount if they have to order in.
Like you say John, maybe better to wait for the WWWshow.

hi shane, i am a carpenter, i have $15,000 worth of festool tools, i never pay full price for anything, i always get minimum 10% off RRP.
i did not buy these tools all at one time, i normally buy 1 tool at a time, depending on the type of job i have to do. it has taken me 8 years to collect these tools.
the latest tools being ts-55 saw, ct-22 vac, 1010 and 1400 routers and kapex saw.
all great tools, no buyers remorse yet, i love using every one of them.

hi shane, i first started buying festool in sydney, f&k power tools.
i work 50% gold coast, 50% brisbane,i never buy any tools on the coast, i think tool shops in the gold coast dont sell enough festool to warrant giving much discount.
i always buy in brisbane, i am never loyal to one shop, if i think they are not giving me the deal i want, i move on.
i currently buy from C&L Tools at.... 459 Nudgee Rd, Hendra. PH. 3868 4343
