Well, there I was.....
...in the local Festool shop, drooling over my boxed Kapex. Telling Dale I wouldn't be able to pick it up until tomorrow when I was distracted by a very perty, what I thought was a C22 dusty. I says, Dale, is that a C22. No he says, maaate (that's how he actuarily says mate) thats the C33. I says its a big mother. He says its got a hose garage on top . Heres a C22 he says pointing behind me. How much cheaper is it than that big wet n dry I'm gettin? asks I. Oh, he says about 600 bucks dearer! Bugger I says. "But", says Dale, "Its the shop demo and its yours for 450 bucks if you're interested. What's wrong with it I said, Nuthin says Dale just gonna use a newer one for demos, just a few dings and scratches but everything as as good as new Heppac filter (low allergy thingo ?) and bags and hoses and a little thingy that attaches things to other things which I'll work out when I get it. Much better that the other one you're gettin! 'll suck the head off a Crownie at 50 paces. SOLD!! says I. So, at the end of the deal I get a spanking new Kapex AND C22 in very good condition for 2190 bucks.
Something good came my way for a bloody change. Now, guys is that a good deal or is that a good deal.
PS: My share of the broken marriage came today. Hence the happy outlook.Last edited by Shedhand; 20th May 2009 at 09:10 PM. Reason: added a PS.

Yeah, almost makes up for missing out on the demo Kapex amonth ago (went in a week late) which went for a neat grand.
Damn, it IS a good deal. Anthony's site has the total for the two at almost 3 grand. I could buy something else good with the 850 I saved.....Suggestions, a Frontline Bandsaw Jig maybe? HmmmIf you never made a mistake, you never made anything!

Nah mate, I was lucky! . I got 10% of the value of the assets , my cd/dvds and the clothes on my back. She got 90% PLUS all my Super (which I gave her out of the kindness of my allegedly hard-heart). Of course I got to keep my guitars and all my tool p*rn, novels and collection of Hawks member scarves.
The only extra I got was that my lawyer didn't charge me a cracker. Not even for running my money through his trust account. I think the guy's half mad.
I tell you mate when I take my swan dive I'm coming back as a rock - on - the beach...maybe not...crabs. A rock in the forest then....for a damn greeny to trip over....If you never made a mistake, you never made anything!

It brings a grin ear to ear when you win on a good buy after you try and forget that it cost many a pretty penny, but you are still happy none the less. And then I get further down and read on and I think, "Strewth"
But it read as a happy ending so
(did you get those Unilifts? )
