    Default Bandsaw Box in Mango

This one has been a long time coming - about 3 years I reckon. I got to a certain stage and thought that the timber was not worth the effort of sanding and finishing.

So now it's done I think it has been worth it after all. Not a piece of fine art, but a cheerful piece.

Your finish has really made the grain pop on that mango Graeme, nice one.

How good is that, eh? Congratulations on a beautifully crafted box. What finish did you use to bring out the mango figuring so well?

Very nice, just goes to show that the sanding and finish is worth it.

Very nice. I agree with the others - you've really brought out the grain with your finish. I like BS boxes that show off rather than hide the entry cuts, too.

About time there was some action in this section. Must get off my behind and start my next one soon.

Thanks for the kind words all.

I agree up to a point. this is a good example of making the entry cuts part of the design. It wont work all the time. sometimes the design, the timber strength and the grain will not allow it, but in this case I definitely agree that it is well done.

You're quite right, Doug. I agree.
I probably could have worded my reply a little better.
(I hid the entry cuts on my first box, but made them part of the design on the second.)
