Looking good ..... If I could be so bold to offer a suggestion on the flocking.
Prior to applying the glue paint the area that you want to flock with paint the same colour as the flock. Then apply the glue and flock. The paint will seal the timber giving your glue a better chance of catching the flock and if there are any small parts that you miss then the paint will help cover up any misses.
With the bandsaw boxes I also find it easier to completely fill the drawer with flock and then tip it out ..... you get better coverage in less time. I use two ice cream containers ... one to fill the drawer from and the other to catch any overflow. Now proudly sponsored by Binford Tools. I'm in the process of ordering some flock online so when i have some i'll do a WIP on the whole process for you John.
Thanks for the tips stink. I think that the glue in the flocking kits is already tinted but i'll give the draw a coat of paint anyways just in case.

I have done a small amount of flocking (still using orig purchase) Got it from Jim Carroll at Drysdale. The glus is colored for sure.
I have found that to use plenty of glue .Then tip plenty of flock into box (have box in large plastic bag to catch the excess)
I push the flock into the box fairly hard,(not just tip it in and hope for the best)
this pushes flock into glue and gives a muchbetter coverage and look
Turn box over and tip excess out then let dry fully.
I then vaccuum the box lightly. If you dont it seems to be forever making colored dust.
My first project with flocking was the box I entered in the box challenge,
I was told that the box had dust on it.The box was cleaned with an antistatic cloth a day or so before photos. When I had a look at the orig photos I took (3 Meg) and blew them up on the computer,I had blue dust on the box.
On a bit of wood when testing I actually had a bit of a bauld spot,I put some more glue on it(had nothing to loose,it looked bad anyway) then flocking, and to my surprise it worked and couldnt see repair.
Get your flock and do several tests including patching. This way you will know what to do if something goes wrong. The stuff seems to go a long way.
OH I would wear a mask if I were you.
Just my take on thingsBack To Car Building & All The Sawdust.

Rattrap you are quite correct that the flocking glue is tinted to match the flock. The application of the same coloured paint first helps to seal the timber (so that the glue can concentrate to sticking flock not soaking into the timber) and it also helps hide any timber if your glue coverage isn't 100%.

So what happened?
What size bandsaw are you using - I'm guessing it's got a decent cut height though it's hard to tell exactly what the dimensions of your box are (ballpark figures?)
I like it!

Hi bitslong,
What happened? it got too damn cold in the shed for this black duck! A high of 6c during the day on a good day is about 6c below my temp tolerance.
I use a 17" carbi-tec bandsaw.
The first box is about 120mm high.
I have another box made from birds eye macrocarpa awaiting warmer weather for the finish & flocking. I'll probably be another 4 -6 weeks before we start to see much of a rise in temps.

Great Finish
You have achieved a great finish, as Tony said to cut out the draw enter with the grain, it is easier to disguise the cut and easier to close the gap.
