    Default First Boxes

Well these are the first bandsawn boxes that I have produced. In the first set I know that one is not a box but it was made to match the draw unit.

Comments welcome on any mistakes as these are only the first I have to learn.

Seems you can put your hand to anything and make it look good. First class job and even more so being your first ones. One day I am hoping to add these to my skill set. Until then I can only sit back and admire.

They are made from Iroko not the best wood to work because of the dust so a mask is a must.

Thank you John I went with the wooden runners made from some modelling ply cut into very narrow strips and then the exposed edges rounded over and they do not look out of place, thank you for the response to that question in another thread.

I glued mine but I am not really the best person as these are only my first boxes off the bandsaw. It may pay to ask the same question in a new thread and see what some of the more experienced bandsawn box makers think. Like most things there is always going to be a difference of opinion

Hey John, would love to. I'm at Devonport Men's Shed. My thing at the moment is mitred timber boxes but would love to try the bandsaw boxes.
