Want to take your boxes to the next level?
Just a reminder that Alan Williams will be holding a 2 day, hands on workshop for 6 lucky people on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th Feb at Artisans On The Hill.
Get in quick and secure one of the remaining spots!
Have attached a shot of a furumite with Alan at last years workshop, along with a pic of Alans signature piece - the Nautilus shell.
Cheers
Peter

Gee Peter, you are now scraping the bottom of the barrel for models.

"If a man is after money, he's money mad; if he keeps it, he's a capitalist; if he spends it, he's a playboy; if he doesn't get it, he's a never-do-well; if he doesn't try to get it, he lacks ambition. If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Don't shy away from fame Bob!
Did you enjoy working with Alan last year? Was the 2 day workshop worth it?
Are you bringing some of your "homework" to show Alan at Expo?
Cheers

Hi Peter!
I did the Alan's workshop last year and it was outstanding. Your hospitality & delicious food combined with the opportunity to learn from The Master of bandsawn boxes was worth every cent. It completely changed the way I approach making them. I would love to come up again this year! What an experience

Thanks for the phone call Brandi.
We are looking forward to having you again at Alans workshop. Glad to hear you have taken lots of the skills he taught you last year on board and that your boxes have stepped up to another level altogether.
I am sure you will step up another level again when you spend time with Alan next week.
Hope you are going to bring some of your latest work for "show & tell".
Only a couple of spots left. It seems that the only opportunity to spend time with Alan and benefit from his skills is at the Artisans workshop at this time each year. Hope he will do it for us again next year - if not, those who do not come this year will miss out altogether.
Christine & I are looking forward to catching up with you again.
Cheers

Can't believe I have another opportunity to do this workshop with Alan! He is an excellent and generous teacher, you can ask him anything and he's happy to share his knowledge and skill. The craftsmanship of his boxes has to be seen to be believed and to be able to learn some of his own tricks of the trade, not to be found on the Internet or in any book, is a rare opportunity indeed. I hope he keeps it up every year, but I'm certainly making the most of this chance while it's here! See you next week Peter.

I really like the design! Your band saw box looks gorgeous and beautiful! The finish and the wood look great! You must be proud of your work!

You've gotta love Alan's work, expecially the one of the female form!
I am assuming that it was his design as quite a few of his students made them at the Grafton Artsfest back in 2005.
Anyhoo, does anyone have a photo of one for all to see?
