    Default what to buy

Hi everyone , I want to buy either a new carba-tec 14'' two speed BAS-350B or scheppach Basato 3h Vario, or hare and forbs bp-305
I will be only making bandsaw boxes and some small projects at this stage but I don't know where it will lead, any suggestions on which one (or something else )would be appreciated. thanks

The carbatec 14'' is the best of the bunch on your list but you could try the H&F BP355. It costs slightly less than the carbatec job and is 2hp rather than 1hp. I have had one for a few years and am very happy with it. If you get a saw that will do more than cut small boxes you are sure to find things to do with it.

I purchased a Scheppach last year.
unpacked it, checked it out as per manual and made a small test cut in a bit of 20mm hardwood board.

about 20cm into the cut the machine started to rattle and vibrate.
the main drive pulley was loose on the shaft and the drive key was not fitted.

i returned it the same day.
had no trust in the Scheppach after that, what would fall of next?
got a German name but made in China.

PS, purchased a Hafco, happy with that

My criteria is (1) hp, the more the better (2) depth of cut (3) size of budget

Spend to the limit of your budget
