A gift for my Niece's 21st ... ssshhh don't tell her!
Finally it is finished!
After reading SS's hint about 3 coats of danish, EEE and Ubeaut trad wax polished with mop .. I went ahead and ordered some of the Ubeaut wax and mop to try it! Was using another type of buffer on the grinder that just didn't seem to do much.
"Breaking in" the mop was fun, resorted to wearing my face shield that I use with the brush cutter as the fluff was driving me insane!!
The timber is sheoak - taken from a pile of firewood!!!
I'm now busy making pavlovas (88 individual) and slabs of apple shortbread for the party - my chooks are on overtime!!
I happy with the result, still room for improvement though!

Looks great Touchwood the box has a loverly shine in from the photos and I am sure it feels great. You should be very happy with your efforts.
I think "breaking in" the mop is a myth ..... Although mine no longer kicks out visible fluff I still find it on my shirt and make sure that I wear a mask and eye protection.
Have I ever mentioned the final step ..... flocking powder for the inside of the drawersNow proudly sponsored by Binford Tools. Be sure to check out the Binford 6100 - available now at any good tool retailer.

I have consciously curved the inside of the drawer bit to suit the smallest sanding cylinder I currently own, this assists greatly with getting they smoother.
Today I picked up finer bandsaw blades to reduce saw marks now that I'm getting the hang of them. May leave the 4tpi for the outside and the 6 tpi for the drawers as I'd like to try to reduce the gap.
Thanks for the other kind comments people.
