I have just received a 6 TPI" 1/4 inch wide blade, I think might do the job.
And on thicker stock if the saw dust starts clogging up in the cut I will go to a 4 TPI'' 1/4'' and try that size.
For re-saw I have bought a 3 TPI 1/2'' blade….. The 4 TPI 1/8 blades that I have ordered has not arrived nor have 3/16, I think they are getting hard to obtain now if that is the case I will contact your chap although the postage is going to be a bit prohibitive from overseas thank for your help

Colbra, did you order blades from the site that I recommended you last time? You mentioned about the postage prohibited overseas, did you manage to continue?

    Hi Bosox
I made inquiries with the company there was a problem with using credit cards from overseas and they did not have pay pal. There could have been a minimum order price as well for overseas sales it all got a bit complicated and so I just did'nt moved on it. Thanks for fowling up on things.

This post really has brought up more questions than answers. I have been making boxes on a bandsaw for many years and would like to give a few handy "chips" . I bought a Carter guide when they first came out and experienced a great deal of trouble identifying the one required for my carbatec 14in. It turned out to be a Ricon guide that I required. ( I emailed them a photo of my guide system). The guide at that time cost about $90 but they insisted on posting it through their preferred transport and it cost over $100 us for postage. This was a pretty expensive exersize as I changed bandsaws last year and the guide no longer fits!
I work in Jarrah and use 5mm 4 tpi blades from Hughans saws in Perth and their service and joins are first class. If you find this blade is too tight on turns, alter your pattern to accommodate it. By the way, with the advances in photocopiers you can now alter your designs at the Stationery shop. You can enlarge them in height and not in length or vice versa. Just work out what percentage of change you require. You will be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.

Hi Milosam welcome to the forum I have a Jet Powermatic 14inch bandsaw and I am using or will be using! a Carter stabilizer model STD1 for my band saw I have not started doing my boxes yet be cause of a couple of ongoing projects I have an extremely slow work rate and estimate starting in about a months time the people importing the Carter products are Benchmark tools Aust contact 0894317477 there address is 32 Knutsford St Fremantle WA

I think they also trade as a lazier calibration company as well but I am not sure of that I payed $104.50 for mine that is in Aust dollars and bought here in Australia.
The band saw blades I was going to use as per the advice received on this thread are 1/4 4 TPI which are 6mm I think so you must be using 3/16 4TPI can you still get them from your suppler and if so how much does he charge do you think he would send me over some to the East Cost NSW.
Hope this has been of some help if you were after another stabilizer.
