Your design worked well. I saw feet as soon as I saw the picture. I really like this one...kind of whimsical, like a Monty Python cartoon (the sun and moon that are jumping up and down.)

Yep - got another BS box in the design stages, for a friend. Also, making the neck and body main of a hybrid cigar-box guitar from Merbau. Merbau neck and body sides/back, Camphor Laurel soundboard, NG Rosewood fretboard. Should look good, if I get away with it.
(First guitar.)
Edit: Just noticed that I replied as 'Hermit' instead of 'Humphrey9999'. Not to worry - both are me.
(I'm phasing out Humphrey, will stick with Hermit)... Steve

Love that design, and beautifully finished, and I think the idea of the runners is brilliant

Thanks mate. I appreciate the comments.
I think that a lot of bandsawn boxes could do with runners to keep the drawer gap even, but in this case they were essential, since there was no support in the middle of the drawer. It sort of dropped into the slot, leaving a huge gap at the top.
A couple of the body offcuts made short work of the runners - almost ready-made.... Steve

Looks good Steve. Did you flock this inside of the drawer with fibers or is it material? Bret

Hello Bret. I'm not that keen on flocking, so used 0.5mm cardboard panels covered in self-adhesive felt, then glued them in place with epoxy. Makes for a softer look, plus the edges come out nicer than with flock.
Used epoxy instead of contact adhesive because contact adhesive dissolves the original felt adhesive, making a hell of a mess as the felt comes unstuck. Guess who learned this the hard way?... Steve

Bloody nice work mate. Now if only I had a fully kitted out workshop, I'd be tempted to see if I could do one half as good.

Thanks Rhys.
If you have a bandsaw or access to one, and a spindle sander or drill-mounted sanding drums, then you're set. That's about all you need apart from elbow grease.
I have to get stuck in and make my next one soon. I just need to talk to thevictimrecipient and work out a design, then I still have yet another to make, the same as my first, that's sitting glued up and ready to start cutting. (As well as my CBG guitar build.) No rest for the wicked, they say.... Steve
