Red Chair I
Hi
Just completed a new bandsawn box, the oil is still wet.
I'd be interested in your assessment of this design?
Best wishes for 2011 bandsawn box makers and everyone as a member and visitor to the best woodworkers forum, internationally!

I really like the design of this box. I feel it has good strong lines and is still soft, flowing and very appealing. Very nice work.
Someday, soon as I'm setup, I want to get into this artful 'pastime'.

Hi Tony,
I reckon the design is a keeper. The sides just make me want to pick it up and investigate them. The sides of the bottom drawrer is very interesting too
cheers

An excellent design!!
I like the soft sculptured lines, and the choice of timber is spot on with the grain running vertically.
Congratulations!!

Hello,
Many thanks for your kind words of support.
The timber is Australian Red Cedar (a fallen branch), I think it was from Northern NSW.Tony Ward

Very nice Tony, shows your usual fine craftsmanship and detail. You asked for comments on design, well I like the carcass shape very much, but there is something about the symmetry of the drawers that bugs me, I want to re-shape them. But maybe that is just me, I'd be proud to produce something like yours anyway (if I could!).
Cheers
