    Default Second go

This is my second attempt at a bandsaw box this one was made for our woodnmusic festival the woodwork had to have some form of music theme and the songwriting side of the competition had to have a timber theme.
The event finishes today and has had very good attendance to workshops and display's.
    Regards Rod.

Well done Rod - a wonderful interpretation and nicely made.

What method do you use to obtain the smooth finish with all those curves and rounded edges?

    Hi Labr@,
Thank you for you're reply, the external curves were sanded on my 300mm disk that I have on made for my lathe and the internal ones were done on a small bobbin in the drill press then lots of hand sanding on both to remove the disk and bobbin marks and to the blending of them.
    Regards Rod.

    Hi Sculptured Box,
I wish I could claim this was an original design but it is not, it is designed by David Watkins I got the idea from him.

Thanks all for the kind words I was lucky enough to get a first in the open novelty music item section at the woodnmusic show. The show was well attended and the concert on the Saturday night went very well indeed Big Stan (Stan Ceglinski) was one of the draw cards along with Mike McClennan who ran a song writing workshop in the afternoon. All round it was a great event.
    Regards Rod.
