    Default Underneath the driftwood

This is my favorite box from that same piece of driftwood. This block was the drawer blank from my second driftwood box. I was going to toss this aside but then I remembered Tony Ward telling me that there is no such thing as scrap wood.

This is my favorite box so far. I finished it with clear wipe on poly and love the way the finish turned out. I don't think I'll be doing much of the plain driftwood pieces when I know this stuff is lurking underneath. Can't wait to go to the beach next month to get some more of these driftwood gnarls.

    Default No scrap

Spread the word, there is no such thing as scrap when making bandsawn boxes.

As p.t.c. (a member of this Forum thread) will say "they are opportunities for Innovation".

    Well done.
