Bears
This design is intended to be mounted over an entrance door. It is 32" wide.
The original pattern was called "Grizzly Walk" but because there are no grizzlies in my province(state), and there are approximately one hundred thousand black bears, I made a few changes.
This was not a very difficult design. ears
Bears are Black Walnut, grass is a streaked Pine, trees= Poplar and the sky is Western Red cedar.
Of course I know that outside of zoos you don't have too many of these beasts.

Hi Bob
That's nice! Whip up an Aussie version with kangaroos and gum trees . The foreground grass - is it three pieces shaped with grooves? The bears too - separate pieces or grooved? And are the bears overlaid on the WRC or cut into it? (Sorry, lots o' questions )
Regards

Tilkki...I wouldn't know a gum tree if I fell over one.
But to aswer the other questions..... The grass is 4 separate pieces and grooved.
The bears are all separately glued pieces .
And, yes the bears/trees were overlaid on the background.
I have only done a couple of pieces where there was an overlay for a certain effect but all other times the assembly is put together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Bob,
That looks great, the streaked pine looks like a nice timber.Brett
