    Default Great Blue Heron

This is one of the largest birds in N/America. Stands 4 feet tall, wing span of 6 feet. Eats frogs and minnows etc which it spears. Called "blue" 'cause the grey plumage looks a bit blue at times. i used a streaked pine for the effect.

You interested in the nature studies or shall stick to the wood side of things?

This piece is 20 1/2 in tall.
