Marquetry "Girl With A Pearl Earring"
My Marquetry work "Girl With A Pearl Earring", used more than 20 species of wood veneer, including some dyed veneers, picture size: 6.5"x8", frame size: 13.5"x15" . Finish: Oil+Varnish.
It doesn't matter what angle you are looking at her you can feel she is always staring back at you. I transferred this character of the original painting miraculously to the woodwork. Her eyes are alive. Also pay attention to the detail of her turbans.

Mr Vermeer would be amazed at what can be done.
Very nice. My Dad had a print of this in his entry hall for years when we were kids.

A truly lovely thing. The character of the girl is wonderfully captured by your piece. Love the use of colour. Subtle and very pleasing to the eye.
Cheers
