    Very useful stuff - thanks for posting

    I'm using more and more veneered board these days, and it helps to be able to discuss my requirements with the supplier in a meaningful way !

    I'm glad I found it - helped me too. I'd never thought of hammering an inlay in before, but the other night I was putting one in and it wouldn't quite go into place while gluing. The dry fit had been OK. A few quick blows and I had a great fit.

    Fast tack glues are good sometimes, but not always. Boy I sweated for a moment when it wouldn't fit and I had a slight overlap on one side.

    My sledgehammer fixed it though.

    I'd mixed fine sawdust with the glue, at 50/50 to ooze out and fill gaps. I think that caused it. Sure made it hard to see what was going on. We live and learn.

    Google can turn up some absolute drivel sometimes, but now and then there's a gem. I've saved a copy for future reference, just in case it disappears.
