Hey PC,
maybe I should try a couple of nicely matched house bricks? I also use them to help level my lathe, but I got that idea from someone else on this forum a couple years ago.
Hey Bob, you're not that old. Certainly not much older than me anyway!
It may have seemed a little cheeky but in actual fact it really should be seen as a compliment. Sometimes if I want to take a pic of something, I have to clean up around so it does not look so bad in the photo!

Simon,
I don't know about you but I am lucky to remember the camera. You get into a job and after finishing something you think crap I should have taken a photo on the way through.
John (Retromilling) visited me a few times and my camera was laying there, he had a play with it and told me to use the candle light setting. I have used that all the time and the photos come out better.
A machinist I can hope to be, a photographer never.

Hi all,
Well, after sending 2 emails requesting a revised invoice for combined shipping, I get this:
Dear shitdontstink,
Thank you for your order. The 1-2-3 blocks already shipped on 5/3. The parallel set is still sitting there waiting to be paid for. I discounted the shipping a little bit.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you.

Yea, well they discounted, a little alright! from $64.95 to $58.95!
In their defence they had already shipped my first item BEFORE I enquired about combined shipping but they should have told me that at the time. I'm not prepared to pay this amount of shipping.
That will teach me to hit the "BUY IT NOW" without really knowing what it would cost!
Cheers,
Simon

Simon,
I just received my QCTP from Jim and he does dispatch very quickly. It was a heavy order in a large flat rate box, but it arrived 7 days after I paid. I need to order a few more AXA holders and I would like a set of those parallels too. I think we live close to each other? How about a combined order?

This sounds like a plan Chris. How do you propose we go about it? I already have an outstanding order waiting to be paid for, would you like me to get a quote on shipping for two parallel sets and your AXA holders? If it meets your approval, tack it onto my existing order and work out a split with the shipping?

Hi all,
Well my 1-2-3 blocks arrived today from the U.S. 7 days after ordering! WOW that has to be the fastest postage/processing time I have ever experienced! Well done allindustrilatoolsupply!
I have also just ducked out to the shed to have a play with them in my surface plate and DI. I only had time to look at 2 pairs of sides. The flat or thin sides are each within 2-3 um flat (which is the accuracy limit of my plate anyway) and they are also matched to within about 5um which is about 0.2 thou.
In any case, they definitely exceed my requirements. Very happy.
Cheers,
Simon

Simon, If you haven't paid for them all ready. I'd think they would let you off the hook for the purchase, for $58.95 postage on a $25.95 item.
I'd write them and ask if its O.K to cancel that purchase. If they are reasonable, that shouldn't effect them much. I doubt you would get a neg feedback for it.
Regards Phil.

Hi,
Regarding the fast delivery, I just received my webbed angle plate and MT3 (plus one extra for no cost) today after I ordered and paid for it on Sunday from Chronos in England. It took two days for them to bill me as well. Thats quick! Only cost 40 pd which I think is about $60. To buy one MT3 adaptor from Oz would of cost me $40 plus delivery. I'd like to support Australian retailers but not at that cost.
Ben.

Hi Phil & Ben,
I agree, I would prefer to support the local industry but when I can get stuff (sometimes the exact same brand and model) from overseas for nearly half the price delivered I just refuse to play their game. Even if they brought in compulsory GST on ALL items it would not stem the loses because we just get ripped off here.
Phil, I'm going to wait till tomorrow, Jack620 is keen to get some stuff too. He has dealt with them before so I think he is going to get in touch with them and we will organise a combined shipping. I'm confident all will work out.
Cheers,
Simon
