Hi Everyone,

Almost six years ago, I posted this query, https://metalworkforums.com/f65/t201...ch#post1932544. I have now been told this will be coming for sale soon, and I am posting some pics and some details about the bench, and will formally link the sale notification to the appropriate thread in this forum.

I got out my Starrett yellow high precision standard gauge bananas and have to correct my earlier posting to state the slab top size is 7' x 2'6" x 2". The bench features a large wooden drawer, a mount for a vice/grinder etc, and a small side table to hold another machine, and 1/2" high right angle guide to assist welding etc.

The table top does not seen to be mounted directly to its base but sits on boards, held by friction on the stand. However the small side table (a recent addition) seems to have been affixed to the top only.

An interesting fact is that there are three 2" (approx) holes along the longer sides, visible in photos. I have no idea as to what purpose these are, and its possible that the slab had another purpose and was utilized as a table top later. Any ideas from anyone?

Underneath the table is, a forge fan powered by an old washing machine motor, an air compressor (no tank), an arc welder(believed not to be functioning properly) and a powered 12" hacksaw, what is happening with these items I am unsure of but will ask if they want to sell them.

I actually live rurally, almost three hours away but will be visiting there later next week so I may be able to get answers for any questions you have to which you will have to wait.

As with the previous post, location is near Marion Shopping centre and no sale price has been determined.

Cheers

Norm
