Default 85 deg equal angle milling cutter

    Hi Guys,
Does anyone have or has seen an 85 degree equal angle cutter? 1" or 1.250" bore. I have a job that requires cutting about 5m total of an 85 degree internal V. I could do it with endmills and then finish the corner with a small ball nose cutter but it would be much quicker with one cutter.
The other thought i had was buying a used 90 deg cutter and grinding it to shape but it would almost be quicker to go the endmill route.

The shaper would be perfect except i need to do 4 1.2m lengths. I had ruled it out but then i have to take do the cut in 2 stages on the mill so i wonder if i could manage to start/stop the cut somehow. I guess i could rough the cuts out on the mill first (they are 1.250" wide at the face) then finish on the shaper so i'm not finishing the first cut into a blind "wall"......I also don't know just how flat the shaper cuts over its full travel. I should check that just so i know anyway!
I like your thinking though, be almost as fast and no cutter to buy.

    Piece of with a planer.

Might have an 85 deg cutter with a 1" bore - I'll have a look tomorrow. 90 deg I know I've got, 85 probably not but maybe...

I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.

From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".

It's a paid job, I'm just working to drawings.....but it sure looks like bottom dies for a press brake.
