9x20 and similar lathes
Saw a link to this site on the Yahoo 9x20 lathe group
CQ9325 10x18" (250x450mm) Chinese bench lathe
Even though it covers a 10x18 lathe, the CQ9325 sold by Paramount Brown among others, it covers a very wide range of subjects pertaining to evaluating, buying and using a 9x20 type lathe. It has information on where to buy metal, and what, cutting speeds, codes for carbide inserts and a whole range of other subjects.
There are lots of links in the text which go to further information.
Great resource for anyone looking at buying a small lathe, or indeed for people that already own a small lathe, be it a Chinese 9x20, Hercus, Myford or Southbend or similar.
Highly recommended
