Yes I did - forgot about that bit. I didn't have a 4 jaw chuck so bought a boring head from CDCO. To date, that has been its only use.

I found that endmills are great to fill in the gaps and bulk up a parcel to the 20kg limit

Yes, on the X2. It took a bit to get it lined up for boring but it cut fairly easily.
It was a lot easier than drilling and tapping the shaft sleeve out of 4140 steel!

nYep no thanks on that either.

So AXA Kit on the way broing head on the way so another question for you legends.

I have some cheap nothing special indicators but have reading up and I am coming to the conclusion that a Centering Indicator Co-Ax Indicator would be a good thing to have on hand.

H&F have them for approx $160 any other that sell them at a better price?

    If it's this one

I wouldn't bother with on as they are not as accurate as the normal test indicator, even the original Blake ones.
If you are going to get one, they can be bought through ebay from the US for around $35 plus postage, so if your going to buy one I would go that way. Again a few of the sellers over their will help you out filling a flat rate box. It doesn't matter if it's metric or imperial as they are not used to measure only compare.
CO-AX INDICATOR MILLING MACHINE COAXIAL COAX .0005" | eBay

I trued mine up but I can centre something up, swap it out for a test indicator and find it's out. A lot of others find the same thing and unless your happy with getting it roughly centered, it's not worth it.

If your after a test dial indicator or dial indicator, CTC is cheap and his products are good.

It's more accurate to mount a test indicator onto a rod in a collet chuck or even a drill chuck than use one of those co-ax indicators.
If you keep your eye out on ebay you can get test indicators that have the face on top so it's easy to read instead of on the side. This saves getting down to see the dial.

Like I said above you can get either a imperial or metric test indicator as it's only used to compare not measure. The mathematics that go with calculating the swing of the tip on a test indicator are not worth the hassle to use it for measuring.
