Members Advice Required Please
As this is not yet a “for sale” post I hope that the mods will permit it.
I think that this is the most appropriate area, once I have some guidelines the machinery will be placed in the auction section.
I am seeking members assistance with valuing some machinery that I intend to sell.
The story is simple, I retired from business several years ago and passed the business to my daughter.
The business has been running well but the nature of the business has changes over the years and the machinery is now redundant.
My daughter will also soon retire so the machinery will have to go and although there are machinery traders out there I am concerned that my daughter will not get fair value from them.
The machinery is located in Caringbah, Sydney.
After retiring I moved to Qld and I have not seen the machinery for several years although I am told that it is all in good working order.
My daughter will handle the sale(s) for me but has no idea of the values hence the request for assistance from experienced members.
Photos attached for your guidance.
If inspection is required please MM me or e-mail to [email protected]
Regards
Bob.
Edit, Looks like I have to learn about posting pics. They are all correct in my computer and I can't find a way to rotate them, sorry.

Hard to say without knowing power requirements & duty cycle for the welders, but probably $150 for a stick welder if it is a decent size (say 200A with something better than 10% duty cycle), maybe $500 for an old TIG, less if it doesn't have AC HF for aluminium. The stick welder is really obsolete - still useful but obsolete; have a 250A 3 phase model but I wouldn't buy one nowadays. I can buy a new 200A 60% duty cycle AC/DC HF TIG for around $1200 including thumb control amperage on the torch, running off of a 15A single phase supply. And it will run stick electrodes on the DC setting just fine.
Grinder, $100 to $200 depending on wheel size, HP and manufacturer.
Herless lathe with screwed nose, totally dependent on condition but I'd say $2500 would be a top price. Depends on the tooling as well.
The drill mill, $500 but then I'm biased, I don't like them. The fact that it has a drill press vise mounted indicates it hasn't really been used as a mill.
Keep in mind I am a bottom-feeder (and not interested in any of that equipment) so others may well think the stuff is worth more.

A full description and condition of each piece would help with the valuation.
