    Default AL 960B lathe and HM 48 mill bad factory manuals!

    Hey guys!
    Anyone here found some online manuals for the ever popular AL 960b lathe and the HM 48 mill from hare and Forbes? The supplied manuals are pretty woeful, ( the HM 48 paperwork is a shocker and I'm fluent in Chinglish). I'm a carpenter with too much time on his hands and am self taught with lathes and mills.
    I'm sure many other guys out there would be more comfortable setting up and running these machines without a well written manual but I'm a newbie and would feel more comfortable with a proper manual.
    I'm sure there are rebadged models out there like the al 330 chinese grizzly lathes. Have you guys found anything on the 48 mill and 960 lathe?

    ....well. I guess WW forums is some what classed as self taught... Maybe..

    If you go to the grizzly site you should find something similar. They did sell a mill like the 48 but only for a short while, so the manual should be still in the manual section.

    Being as its to hot to do anything else, I had a fish around for you. These are the closest I could find to yours

    Thanks guys.. I just found the grizzly g 0484 mill manual and it's the right one for the mill! Will take a look at the lathe now

    Thats the mill, I remember they got one batch of them and just as they took off with everyone talking about them, they where discontinued. This was around the same time Grizzly bought the south bend company so that may have had something to do with it.

    I forgot to add, they used to have a bigger range of lathes so the manuals will still be their, but you will have to go through them to see.

    HI,
    There are a number of us Hafco AL-960B Owners on this Forum Site. If there is something You want to know. I am sure that one of us will be able to help You out.
    P.S. I agree about the Manual for a Novice it would not help much. I have seen some of the Grizzly Manuals they are a Massive improvement over the Hafco (chinglish) Manuals.
