I spent the day assembling the three main parts of my machine ,
took a while as the guys whose workshop I was using had a semi call in to drop of and pick up a couple of vehicles , forklift was being used ,but eventually got them together and its ready to go into storage for a while .I gave it another coat of paint and touched up afew places .
I painted the ways with a thick seal coat of some stuff that was in a spray can , smells like Korodecure ( battery terminal grease) ,dark brown and dries off but stays soft ,can be washed off with kero or similar .
Had a couple of cans in the back of my cupboard but the gas has gone from the cans , I just pricked a hole in the bottom and drained them into a coffee jar ,just brush it on now .Is going to be handy as I get all the bits refurbished I can coat them with this stuff and not worry about rust.
