Hi Pete,
Nah, we're still moving to a new house around the corner (bigger) but I get to stay with the family and my tools for another 12 months.
Best Xmas I've had. I'm really only looking at the Arboga mill as its pretty cheap at first glance. Hoping to have the Hercus back togather and posted online this week.
Cheers Ben.

Hi Pipeclay,
Right back at you. I hope you and all reading this enjoy a great Christmas and a safe and happy new year. Remember, even if you have a #### day at work or in the shed, they are just problems of a first world country. We have it better than 95% of the rest of the worlds population.
Thanks to everyone who helped me with my projects, one more year and (thanks to you guys) I'm more experienced and knowledgable than the last!
Dave, It does look like 2013 will be a much better year for you now. All the very best to you!
Kids are driving me up the wall, and it's only the first week of school holidays. I guess there are some benefits to having no time off over Christmas/New year

Jezz. You blokes are about to make me shed a tear. {/joke}{maybe no joke}
First and foremost. Happy delayed birthday wish’s Bruce. I thought about ringing you, but I’m ##### on the phone
I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with him last day light savings weekend. As well as a dozen of you in that scrapping weekend. What a Gentleman.
I‘m inspired that you and B.T keep in touch regularly.
I’m happy I keep up with the local blokes. Greg Q & I seem to be up to no good about every fortnight. I’ve enjoyed a cigarette and drink with Ken, who is remarkably close by in Heidelberg. I’ve had PDW Peter W here twice on his north / south migration. I caught up with Ray G and Josh, this past Christmas eve.
Christian G has dropped in a few times. I caught up with Rob the Ropetangler at Sovereign Hill, A dozen others I keep contact with via email.
That other Phil, Mr Steam Whisperer AKA Moustache Thorn. What a Champion of a bloke. Yet another outstanding year. Second year in a row you have managed to get tickets. The cast iron car shuffle out in the car park is worth the drive. I’ve seen threads about that face plate already. You didn’t have to get those free tickets, but you did, High opinion in my book.
Happy New Years Guys.
Phil.

Well, I sat here for quite a while trying to figure out how to respond to your kind words Phil. The way I see it, is that I was only responding to your generosity in giving up your free time to run a the scraping class and for giving me an opportunity to spend time with a great bunch of blokes. Then you ran a second class where I had the privilege to pop in and meet another great bunch of blokes. You let us use your equipment and facilities and cooked our food as well. Your words mean a lot as like most of us, the older we get, the less we tolerate .
To Bruce, A now very belated (imperial) happy birthday wish from a fellow imperial person. (long live the inch)
I have to admit that this forum is unique in its camaraderie. Simon put on a barbie and we travelled from all over. Jayson and Harty travelled from Horsham.
Joe (jhovel) always willing to help out in every way. I appreciate your assistance.
Fantastic blokes, as are all contributors on this forum.
I have been in the trade,(fitting and machining) for over 30 years and everytime I log on I learn something new. Such is the wealth of experience and willingness to pass on your knowledge.
Then there is BT, Anorak Bob, without you my standard of finish would still be regarded as the plankton of the engineering world
There are so many to thank and too many to mention but I constantly remember different posts at different times so all you blokes are floating around in my empty skull at sometime or another.
Lastly DaveJ.
Hang in there mate, tough times no man should have to endure but I sense you are well and truly coming out the other side. It's an exemplary bloke that can maintain sanity during that.
Sooo, All the best everyone,
Phil
ps Gregoire, still the best coffee I have tasted

Well Boys, we are nearly there. Another year of mirth and entertainment to look forward to.
I had the good fortune to join this forum back in 2008 and since then have enjoyed the company, both online and in person, of a great group of blokes.
The scrapefest was a real highlight, albeit too short. I wish I had made it to Sovereign Hill. Living in Boomtown and not the Capital does have its drawbacks. ( Hell, I'd even be happy to contend with Melbourne's capricious weather at the moment. )
If you blokes are planning on another barbeque or show and tell, let me know. I'll be there. I'll bring my own camera.
So, All the Best.
Bob

Scrapefest
The Scrapefest was one of the highlights of 2012 for me.
I have so much enjoyed all of the communication during the year with all of you blokes, you all have a wealth of information.
Thank you so much for your valuable input.
All the very best for 2013.
regards
Bruce
