Anemometer Anyone?
I love this but I can't justify placing a bid. Surely someone needs it. Being offered by a Bulgarian seller at what could be a steal.

Hey! I have one of those, but its Czech not German (maybe better!.
I think this one is the same as mine in that it is a 'distance' device not a speed indicator. So set it to zero, hold it up for a period of time and press the stop button then calculate the average speed over the time. This one appears to be calibrated to read the speed in metres/sec when 'exposed' for 100 seconds.
Mine is a bit neat in that there is a wood screw on the bottom of the handle so you can screw it onto a broom stick and the trip lever has a little hole in it for a trip cord.

The anemometer was a chance encounter. I was trawling for things Zeiss when I found it. It epitomized everything I love in little gadgets....
The seller has some neat Bloc gear. Knowing the use of some of it can be a puzzle.

Not Kiev Gregory... I would have thought purchasing on line from the Ukraine would be akin to donating funds to some Nigerian charity scam. Obviously not so if you are trading with a seller there.

Chicken? Kiev?
I had my serious doubts when I first bought from him but he is guaranteed by some German buyer protection scheme, and since then he has a good feedback record. He sells bloc stuff, mostly ex-USSR from some warehouse that the apparatchiks decided to fill with an endless supply of micrometers and cutting tools.
I purchased a pair of thread micrometers from him, complete with all the anvils for not much money. I am well pleased with the quality, and they came quickly, well wrapped, and cheaply.
He is: g.zaharov
here's one of his listings, which by the way are all in German:

Gewindebohrer
I 've been wading through his sea of cutters and found these taps, the likes of which I have never seen before. Any clues?

I'd say that they would be piloted taps - the portion below the tap guides the tap square to the hole.
