Anodizing
I’m giving anodizing a go so far with very limited success. This is what I have done. I have used an old battery all cleaned out covered ¾ of the base with lead for the neg side. First I used 30% sulphuric acid but that didn’t work so I went to 100%. I use aluminium wire for the pos side. Before I put the aluminium in I dip it in caustic soda. Then into the sulphuric acid and turn the charger on, then it starts to bubble up. I let it go for about 45 minutes then dip it into distilled water then into the colour. (I am using rite powder with water) I leave it for 20 minutes. Some time it takes but mostly it don’t. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thank you Davidgiveitagoturning @hotmail.com

Also make sure you rinse well between the caustic soda and the sulphuric acid - the best way is a hand spray thingy of distilled water.
