The clamp arrived this morning. What a great tool!!! I will be using it on the cut off saw. I gave it a quick simulation and it works like a charm. So simple and works so well.
Thank you RC. You are a generous man. Sing out if you need some thing that I can help you withJust do it!
Kind regards Rod

surprise pack turned up!
Hey Richard - thanks mate, I got a surprise package in the mail today - didn't think I was early enough in the queue to get one, so it was doubly good to pull it out of the pack.
Nice work too - such a simple idea, but I reckon I'll be using it heaps !
Great sentiment with sharing the help around too - so all the best.
Regards

Got mine today Richard.
Many many thanks and appreciation for 'paying it forward' and I will be putting it to good use.
I have a habit of not losing short bits and now they have become premium offcuts .

Got mine today Richard.
The postie stopped and hand delivered it to me, as he saw me painting the side of the house. Had a chat about what it was and he was surprised at your generosity and the camaraderie there exists on the forum.
It looks beautiful and I know that it will come in very handy when I start doing more metal working. Just about ready to clean out one of the sheds and convert it to a metal workshop. Got the Lathe already but no room to set it up yet.
Thanks again.
Peter.

Like Peter I received mine today and the postmaster (I have a PO Box) asked me what it was as well as it was heavy and an interesting shape.
He was also amazed that this sort of generosity still exists in our society and he reckons it was a great story.
I have just tried it out on my horizontal bandsaw and it works like a charm.
Many thanks once again, and it goes without saying that not only will this gesture be paid forward, if I can ever return the favour please ask.

I / my highschool recieved the clampin' doodad today. Many thanks!
Now ive got a bunch of year tenners looking for short, rubbishy pieces of metal to put in the coldsaw that really doesnt need more abuse... but they are thankful! I told them that this one came courtesy of someone else just being a gentleman and that one day, they too are to pay it forward.
I tell you what though, I gave it to my head teacher and 3 periods later he still couldnt guess what it was for
