Ten or more years ago I bought quite a few 18V cordless tools and batteries over a few years from a known tool supplier in Queensland. These worked well but in time I needed replacement batteries only to find they were no longer available. The information from the supplier was that the factory in China had closed and these batteries were no longer made. The tool brand is Renegade and as I still have quite a few including some unused ones I have been searching for replacements. There are many non genuine batteries available now but none that fits Renegade tools. As well battery adaptors are available for most modern common brands but none for Renegade probably because it seems Renegade was a brand exclusive to one retailer. As a replacement for my Renegade cordless tools I now have a number of Milwaukee 18V tools and batteries. Last year I bought some battery adaptor blanks which hold Milwaukee 18V batteries and recently I pulled an old renegade battery apart to get the connectors and housing that fit the tool and managed to connect these together to be able to use the Renegade tools again. It looks a bit ungainly but is ok to use. I think the battery adaptors on sale now are 3D printed but I am not into 3D printing so I won't be making any more streamlined adaptors for the Renegade tools. I will post some photos of my small project.
