What brand is this - tap & reamer grinding attachment
HI ALL,
I Bought this Tap Grinding Attachment of Ebay about a Month ago for My Tool & Cutter grinder. The Device is missing its Base. As it is for Reamers as well it might be missing the Reamer Holder unless You just use the Tap Holder. The Tap is mounted the wrong way around in the Picture.
I have tried to Googling to find one the same, but haven't had any Luck. Does anyone know what Brand the Device is and whether it was for a certain Machine or is it just an Attachment for any Tool & Cutter Grinder. All The Best steran50 Stewart

HI,
Dave if You are refering to the one Posted on Home Model Engine Machinist then Yes that was Me. I've had No luck there either. The Main Knob on the Device reminds Me of a Knob that I seen on a Hercus Valve Refacer Device, but that could be just that they were made in similiar styles.
Merry Xmas Dave to You and Your Family, I hope You all have a Great and and a Safe Day.All The Best steran50 Stewart

I agree that it is missing a base but that is probably only really important for tapered objects.
I'd say that it is designed to be an add-on for something like a surface grinder as it looks too slight to be part of a dedicated T&C grinder. If that were the case it would be a handy thing to have (if you had a surface grinder)

Quite an interesting device.... No doubt built for a particular machine, but adaptable for any TC grinder...
A swivel base would be easy to make and necessary to easily set the taper for the tap...Light red, the colour of choice for the discerning man.
