Cool Broken Drill Press Pulley Fixed.

Fixed a beat up pot metal pulley today for a customer. I bored out the ribs on the inside then machined a hub to fit the hole and bolted it all together. I was going to make a new one but it was over 4" in dia and thats the biggest round stock i have on hand. Anyone need a bale of aluminum chips? They gotta have a use like steel wool only aluminum...Bob

    Cool

I am fine Thanks. The pulley is off an old Sears drillpress and was pretty beat up. Here are a few more pics of my tap cabinet which is now full. Remember 25 years ago when computers first came out? The printers used that long paper with all of the edge holes perfect for chinzy banners. Anyway that cabinet is a Wilson Jones data file cabinet for that funny computer paper. I found it in a dumpster at work and had my N gauge model trains in it for years then i sold most of them. Never saw another cabinet anywhere. i bent up some trays in a zig zag pattern in my hand brake...Bob

I have seen similar cabinets on ebay US...They are sold as drill bit cabinets and range from 2-10 draw and range in price from about $50-$300.00 USD...
What has stopped me is the cost of shipping, But I would bet my left n*# that they would be avaliable here in Aus, It's just a matter of finding a supplier..

Any reason you couldn't use an offcut of colorbond roof sheet cut to size?

Freely available from any building site.
