Buy and sell
Dear Moderators,
This is just a suggestion.
Is it possible to incorporate in the Metalwork Forum, a section where members can trade with fellow members.
The Metalwork Forum has many, many members, growing every day.
It is absolutely inconvenient, to leave this forum and swap to the Woodwork Forum, in search of items for sale etc.
If enough members feel as I do, would you consider it?
Regards,
Ken,
a valued member, as we all are.

G'day Ken - Good suggestion with some merit and sounds like a fair idea in principal however; if I set one up for Metal workers then I'll guarantee I'll be asked for one in Musical Instrument Makers, Boat building, Tools and Machinery, Timber, Finishing (nah probably not finishing), Home Renovations and Non Woodwork. Then the Woodturners, Carvers, Tritoneers, Scrollers etc will all want one of their own, just so they don't have to leave their beloved forum.
As it stands now everyone has to leave their forum to go to the Buy Sell n Swap forum. If I allow one then I'd be obliged to allow all other requests and I reckon it would get out of hand pretty quickly. The mods and administrators have more than enough to do without having to roam the forums policing a dozen BSnS forums for spam. The one BSNS forum we have now, attracts many hundreds of items of spam per month and is almost enough to keeps one mod busy policing the garbage that's dumped in there buy spammers selling phones, insurance and a whole heap of other rubbish.
However, what I may be prepared to do is create a dedicated forum for Buy Sell n Swap with a few sub categories like Metal Work, Timber, Furniture, Tools, General, etc which may make it easier to find items. May also take more policing but may not.
How about you put up a poll in the Polls Forum and see what sort of response you get.
Cheers

Following Neil's suggestion, I have plonked the above question in POLLS.
If you have 5 minutes to spare, back track to the Woodwork Forum, open that, then scroll, scroll, scroll down until you finally reach POLLS.
Let's hear your comments,
Ken
