I've never had that problem with Paypal before. Have you tried changing your address in Paypal? If I were you, I would set up an account with Shipto (free) and change the address in your Paypal account to the US shipping address that Shipto gives you. Get Grizzly to send it via the forwarding company.

    Cheers,

If I recall Grizzly do credit card or Direct deposit.
I considered buying some replacement drive and idler band wheels for my 6 x 4 Inch horizontal bandsaw from grizzly.Very reasonable indeed..The original H &F ones are so run out , and I would never consider a replacement from them either in in terms of quality and or price.

The postage costs on the British stuff can be a bit of a killer too.

Maybe someone might consider a joint purchase with you to get above that limit. This would depend on what the item is and weight/ postage too.

i kinda got the min purchase thing sorted out by adding a few items , what i could not get my head around was how i could pay them . i thought my only option for over sea's was paypal didnt realise i could direct deposit with them .probably because i was to busy trying to make the min order thing work . i will shoot them an email re how i can pay them , it is not easy with a lot of these sites that are automated .

IIRC Paramount Browns in Adelaide sell the CQ6230, maybe ring them and see whether they have the parts you want?

Buying from the US needs a bit of flexibility. Having purchased from nick nacks to 5tn excavators, hammers to boats, I have a bit of experience.
The US business community is a Phone community, yes they answer emails ... sometimes ... but you will not do much negotiation on email with them.
Ring them up and you are on a winner.
Grizzly and others post overseas and so adding a middleman with a freight forwarder is not the solution. Furthermore, Myus and Shippito have gone bad in the last few years with additional and inconsistent charges. If you have to use a freight forwarder try UstoOz as long as they don't go the same way of their earlier competitors.
Don't forget that PayPal is an ebay tool and ebay is not exactly a prestigious environment for most companies.
You can pay with a credit card if they accept an o/s credit card, or if you don't trust them use a debit card. A direct transfer can be done on line from your bank's website if they offer that, most do by now. Or you can do the transfer over the counter with the Comm bank or others. Westpac operators usually seem to have 5 thumbs in each hands (sometimes just 4) in matters of transfers, so give them a miss.
Last resort but the choice of professional importers is to have your own agent here who in turn has agents all over the world. THe cost is not much different from the "for tourist" myus or shippito and the results are clearly more consistent.

If a supplier refuses to sell o/s it is possible they have contracts with local (o/s) agents and can not do so legally. Some freight forwarders like ustooz and others offer to shop for you personally if you supply the precise item details. They will them post and charge you as per normal.

It doesn't sound like you have a shipping problem rather they have a distribution problem - some suppliers get "exclusive rights" to a sales area but the down side is that that they can't sell outside that area.
Your choices are probably limited to finding an address that looks like it is US based. Friends, family etc? Can you get one of the US forum members to buy for you and send across?

I live in the USA, need help? Willing to do a favor, other people have "paid it forward" to Me and I would like to reciprocate. I like the Remembrance Day pic at the top of the page, You folks have got it right.

Some suppliers in the US have banned Australian buyers altogether, thanks to the idiots that behave like they do on e-bay, that is, buy something, pay with paypal or credit card, receive the item and then start a dispute with some imaginary problem, convince the bank to return the money and hope the supplier gives up. If I sell something on e-bay I regularly ban a long string of countries from bidding.
