Cheap home made clamps for thin materials.
I saw this youtube video on cutting short and different length pieces of PVC pressure pipe and then cutting through the circle to make "C" shaped clamps. I am staggered as to why I never thought of it when having my fingers pinched by a piece of PVC. I have an amazing array of PVC piping around here from irrigation so have no excuse to make some. Here is the link.

Thanks for the link.
Similar idea using old bed mattress springs cut into rings then tweeked to get the ends in line.
Handy for holding stuff for soldering as they don't melt.
MarkWhat you say & what people hear are not always the same thing.

I have collected about 20 spring clamps over the years. They would be much stronger than what has been listed. I got a heap cheap at Masters for about $2.00 each. Can be used for welding as well. I often use them to hold things in place while setting up, then put stronger clamps on. My favourite clamps are the stronger Irwin trigger clamps. They have a clamping force of 600 lbs. They are plastic so for welding you need to take care. Not cheap tho.
