    Default Chinese Generators

I know this is probably not the correct place to ask these questions,I have recently purchased a 5.5KVA genset.

I was just curious if any other members may have any experience with these and if so any pros and cons,I know I could of purchased a Known brand but for the price if it lasts a few years I will be in front.

Use will mainly be onsight, the occasional welding and grinding job, have used it to power the welder and not a problem with the Mig will try it on the Stick shortly.

As the booklet that comes with the machine is mostly full of smilley faces and the usual Chinese interpretation of English I would appreciate any user feed back ,Thankyou.

I bought a 2.8Kw version a couple of years ago.
Drives a Jack hammer or concrete mixer, drills, lights, small stove/grill, Caravan.

    Never tried welding though.

Loaded it up with a 2400w deep fry and some lights without a problem.

Never missed a beat. Just change the oil every 10 hours.

I reckon you need to have an electrician test these units and make sure that they run at 50 htz. I recently made a generator and had a clamp meter on an outlet to check it, and the motor on a generator has to be running consistently at a particular RPM to maintain 50 htz. It's hard to imagine that the cheaper generators can do this, but I don't know ....

Mine has a governor and maintains its revs up to full load quite well.
